Antique Chawan | No. 03

Handcrafted in a warm clay body with translucent celadon glaze over an etched mountain motif, this elegant chawan is perfect for sipping freshly whisked matcha and is also a beautiful objet for display. Comes wrapped in an orange cloth and packaged in its original kiribako, a paulownia wood box tied with sanada himo cord, a woven cotton ribbon. The inside and outside of the lid feature handpainted calligraphy by the artist. Sourced in Kyoto on our recent trip this past October.
